WoW 3.0

Наконец-то добрался до WoW.

Ну че, пиздец. В 3.0 все, как в 2.0: burst damage из over the top, паладинов ОПЯТЬ перебуфали и опять понерфят.

В ПвП доты не успевают даже тикнуть один раз, как враг умирает. В ПвЕ, говорят, все рейды ускорились чуть ли не в разы.

Воин доставляет, вор доставляет, варлок нет. Фрост маги мочат варлоков так же, как и всех остальных.
This brings forth a palading in old lvl 60 gear that helps you figth, and when the time is over he bubbles and hearthstones.

To shorten the queues and provide greater access to warfare between factions, we are currently working on combining existing Battlegroups of different languages, with the aim of creating Battlegroups with higher populations. This change will affect both Battlegrounds and Arenas. Players from realms of different languages will only face each other as opponents in battle and will not be playing on the same faction in Battlegrounds, which will ensure that those playing on your side will speak the same language as you.

Please note that not all Battlegroups will be merged with another, and this feature will not be affecting the Russian-language Battlegroup.

Q: Why are the pandaren the only race not to be in wow yet?
A: We ran into some issues with china and what their perception of the panda is. china is an important part of our game. i can't say it'll never happen, but its not ont he horizon right now. the rumor mill has it that we might have some fiction around them, an action figure at some point. we want to keep the hope alive.

More about skills than dying

The dual-spec system will be introduced in a content patch. The goal is to let you switch specs very easily in raid, even between fights ! However it won't be possible to switch specs in the middle of an arena match.
With dual-spec introduced in the game, there are also discussions about an Itemrack-like mod being introduced to the default UI.


Ну и

All the tanking classes are now suitable as a main tank and their threat has been greatly increased to make fights more fun, fights are now more about skills than dying because of a random aggro.

BREWFEST IS OVER

So I have 7 characters capable of summoning the BRD boss a day. Due to the fact that this is the only chance at the cross-faction kodo mount I have not missed a single day on a single character. Across the span of the 12 or 13 days this boss has been available, I have killed him roughly 450 times, considering that I joined full 5 man groups on each seperate character and I also joined in many groups that proceeded to alternate characters. I admit that it was a pretty time consuming effort.

The results are:

11 Kodos (2 won, 9 lost)
4 Rams (1 won, 3 lost)
15 Remotes (3 won, 12 lost)
Roughly 15 or so Daggers


Это лишний раз доказывает, что люди задродствуют из-за всякой хуйни.

Я собрал все тринкеты (и кинжал), которые хотел для трех персонажей и бросил. Заодно случайно выиграл 1 кодо.

Если не зацикливаться на маунте, brewfest - это самые халявные эпики ever.

LOL ELO

We’re also doing what we can to address the fact that players that don’t have high ratings can often still get steamrolled by highly rated players that are starting new teams, helping friends, etc. As I’ve described in another post, we have plans to keep a persistent “under-the-hood” rating for all characters that is used for determining matchmaking, so that even if a highly rated player starts a new team (or joins another low-rated team), the system will know what opponents that team should really be playing against.


Спустя всего год, они поняли, как на самом-то деле должна работать elo rating system.

We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn’t something we’ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King.
